Required Information to Form a Company

A physical UK address in the same jurisdiction as the company (England and Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland). PO Boxes are not permitted. It must be an address where documents delivered will come to the attention of someone acting for the company and that delivery can be recorded. It appears on the public register and must be shown on company stationery and websites. Our Privacy and All Inclusive Packages include a London registered office.

Every company must give Companies House an email address for official notices, reminders, and queries about its filings. It is not published on the public register but must be kept up to date.

Choose up to four SIC codes (Standard Industrial Classification) describing what the company will do. Our ordering process includes a SIC code search, or see the SIC code list. You must also confirm the company is being formed for a lawful purpose.

• Number of shares to be issued (minimum one)
• Nominal value per share (usually £1)
• Share class (usually Ordinary)
• Description of share class rights (also known as prescribed particulars)

• Title (Mr, Miss, Mrs, etc.)
• Full name
• Any former names used in the last 20 years
• Date of birth (must be at least 16)
• Nationality
• Residential address (not on the public register)
• Service address (residential or other address)
• Companies House personal code, if already identity-verified. If not, we verify you free as part of the application.

For each shareholder:

• Full name
• Service address
• Number and class of shares held

A shareholder, who is also a person with significant control (usually because they hold more than 25% of the shares or voting rights in the company) will also need:

• Title (Mr, Miss, Mrs, etc.)
• Date of birth
• Nationality
• Residential address (not on the public register)
• Nature of control (e.g. holds more than 50% but less than 75% of shares)
• Companies House personal code, or we verify them free

• Full name
• Service address
